It’s Earth Day and what better than to learn a little info on what it is right? Today is the 40th anniversary and it’s a day for everyone to do something for the world. Today my class tabled and had a recycling, composting, and trash quiz. The funny thing was most students got it wrong but the good thing was that most students and faculty said they learned something from the experience.
I actually had a lot of fun today informing others about what we can do to make the world a better place. So spread the word and make the world a better place because we only have one Earth!
Here is a list of things you can do:
* Buy a reusable water bottle because it will cost you 1000x more money to buy a water bottle from the vending machines.
* Recycle : I live in MN so we only recycle # 1 and 2. Always look at the product because it can be composted.
* Drink tap water because it taste the same as the water in water bottles.
* Compost food and products that can be compost, such as corn base products.
*My class found out that by recycling and not throwing trash away your state can save money. MN was able to save a few million bucks in recycling.
